Yarra Riverkeeper Association’s investigations over several years have demonstrated that polystyrene is a major contributor to pollution in the Yara, Birrarung. Polystyrene escaping into waterways from poorly managed construction sites is a major source of the problem. YRKA wholeheartedly supports the Sustainable Foundations Group goals and it’s promotion of alternative sustainable materials and comprehensive recycling on construction sites.
